1 Lisa Fonssagrives (1911-1992)
The first supermodel in the Fashion world, Lisa Fonssagrives, was born in a family of doctors in Sweden. If she wasn’t modeling, she’d be a good teacher of dance, a longtime hobby after her modeling career and a career for her future husband. A glimpse of the elevator in 1936 made her the darling of fashion cameras. “I am a perfect clothes rack”, this is how the woman who kicked off the era of supermodels described herself.
